Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Keido website and the Founder's Circle waitlist. The Keido product itself is in pre-launch and not yet available. When the product ships, this policy will be updated to cover the operating environment, the credential vault, and any other product surfaces.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by Keido LLC ("Keido", "we", "our", "us"). If you have questions about this policy or your data, email [email protected].

2. What we collect

When you join the Founder's Circle via the signup form, we collect:

The name you provide — used only to address you personally in correspondence.
Your email address — used to send the welcome email, capability shipping updates, launch notifications, and direct replies from the founder.
The short description of your business or idea — used to prepare for founder calls and to understand who is showing up on the waitlist. This is never published, sold, or shared.
Your IP address and user agent — stored for abuse prevention, rate limiting, and security auditing. Retained no longer than needed for those purposes.

When you visit the website, Cloudflare (our hosting provider) processes standard web request metadata (IP, user agent, page URL, referrer) to deliver the site and detect abuse.

3. How we use it

We use your information only for the following purposes:

Sending you the welcome email and subsequent Founder's Circle updates
Scheduling and preparing for founder calls if you request one
Rate limiting and abuse prevention on the signup endpoint
Understanding who is in the Founder's Circle so we can build the right product

Legal basis (for users in the EU / UK): we rely on your consent, given when you submit the signup form, as the legal basis for sending you Founder's Circle communications (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). We rely on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) for rate limiting and abuse prevention on the signup endpoint.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

4. Service providers we use

A small number of service providers process your data on our behalf to operate this site. Each one is bound by its own privacy practices, and where applicable, by a data processing agreement (DPA) with Keido:

Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) — hosting, DNS, edge security, and the D1 database that stores your signup record.
Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery. Your email address and the welcome email content are sent through Resend so we can deliver mail to your inbox.
Slack (slack.com) — internal notification when a new signup is received, so the founder can prepare for the founder call. The notification includes your name and the business description you submitted.
Google Fonts (fonts.google.com) — this website loads typefaces from Google's content delivery network. When you load the page, your IP address and user agent are sent to Google so it can serve the font files. Google does not use this data to identify you.

We do not use advertising networks, marketing automation platforms, analytics trackers, or any other third parties to process your data.

5. International transfers

Keido LLC is based in the United States. All of the processors listed above store and process data in the United States. If you are accessing this site from the EU, the UK, or another jurisdiction with data-transfer rules, your data is transferred to the United States for processing. Cloudflare, Resend, Slack, and Google each offer Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an equivalent mechanism under their respective Data Processing Agreements; we rely on those mechanisms for lawful cross-border transfer.

6. How long we keep it

Founder's Circle records are kept for as long as the waitlist is active. If you ask us to remove your record, we will do so within 7 days of your request. Abuse-prevention metadata (IP address and user agent) is scrubbed from the signup record after 30 days; only the non-identifying columns (name, email, business description) are retained for ongoing communication.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address associated with your signup. We will respond within 7 days.

If you are located in the EU, UK, California, or any other jurisdiction with specific data protection rights (GDPR, UK-GDPR, CCPA, etc.), those rights apply to you. Contact us and we will honor them.

You can also unsubscribe from Founder's Circle email at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject line unsubscribe, or by using the one-click unsubscribe link in any Founder's Circle email.

8. Cookies and tracking

This site does not use analytics trackers, cookies, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any advertising or retargeting pixel. The site is stateless. The only outbound requests your browser makes while viewing this page are to load fonts from Google Fonts (see section 4) and to submit the signup form to our waitlist endpoint.

9. Security

The signup endpoint is rate-limited, CORS-scoped to keido.ai, and protected by standard web application controls. Your data is stored in an isolated Cloudflare D1 database. Access is limited to the Keido founder.

10. Children

Keido is built for business operators and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to anyone on the Founder's Circle. The "Effective" date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
